Conduct

The challenge is divided into many activities throughout the day:

  • 8:34: arrival Gare Champagne-Ardennes TGV
    3 series: sparkling wines, white wines, red wines
    For each series:
    • 4 wines (25 min)
    • 8 theoretical questions (8 min)
  • 9:15: start of blind tasting/MCQ knowledge terroirs, viticulture-oenology

  • 12:30: Aperitif on the terrace and informal lunch

  • 2 pm: Visit of Ruinart’s Crayères Course 1729

  • 3:15 pm: scientific conference: “Vine-management adaptations to global warming” by M. K. van Leeuwen

  • 4:45 pm: Technical tasting with Frédéric Panaïotis
    • Dom Ruinart : warm vintage VS cold vintage
    • Ruinart 2010 : bottle VS magnum
  • 5:30 pm: final ranking presentation

  • 6:30 pm: departure for the hotel

  • 7:30 pm: dinner at “Le Coq Rouge”
